Closing Time

Closing Time is a six-minute dance film set in Svendborg, a small harbour town in Denmark. At the end of a dinner, three figures linger around the table, unwilling to let the evening end. Repetitive gestures and familiar rituals, pouring coffee, sharing food, waiting, unfold in an increasingly uncertain space.

As the calm order of the meal begins to fracture, subtle surreal shifts unsettle what is real. The atmosphere grows restless, then urgent, as the desire to remain gives way to an inevitable departure. Closing Time reflects on the small acts of resistance that arise at the edge of an ending: one more conversation, one last piece of cake, a final cup of coffee.
