Closing Time

"Closing Time" is a six-minute dance film about wanting to hold on a little longer when you know something is ending. Set in Svendborg, a small harbour town in Denmark, it follows three dancers at the end of a dinner. As they try to make the final cup of coffee last, the evening begins to slip into repetitive movement, surreal images and a kind of shared denial. They hold on for as long as they can, knowing that eventually they will have to leave.


This is the film’s current version. It will still go through colour grading and final finishing before its gallery premiere in February.
